Offering four distinct seasons TONGASS RIDGE is situated in an area recognized as one of the best places in the country to retire to because of the unique climatic area referred to as the Isothermal Belt ("Iso" meaning constant and "thermal" meaning temperature). Simply put, it does not get quite as warm in the summer or quite as cold in the winter as other counties in the surrounding areas.
